April 14, 2025 – Week 15
Catalyst
Compassion for others often begins with compassion for yourself.
Insight
Your own worthiness shapes your compassion for others. When you are overwhelmed with self-doubt or battling feelings of unworthiness, it can be hard to extend kindness outward. Instead of feeling open and empathetic, you may feel guarded or disconnected.
Start by believing in your own worth. Give yourself permission to be imperfect, to learn as you go, and to struggle without shame. The more balanced and authentic you feel in your own life, the more easily your compassion will flow toward others. It is only when you show up fully as yourself that you can truly connect with and care for the people around you.
Reflection
In what ways have you been hard on yourself lately? How can practicing self-compassion improve your ability to connect with others?
