Compassion is the force that urges us to care for others and builds our sense of morality.
Insight
We often think of morality as a set of rules or codes, but at its core, morality is driven by compassion. It’s the instinctual pull to protect the vulnerable, to help when we can, to recognize that other people’s happiness and well-being matter as much as our own.
Compassion doesn’t ask us to shine a spotlight on ourselves, it thrives quietly in unnoticed moments. Turning away from judgment and toward understanding isn’t always easy, but it’s the foundation of a life lived with integrity.
