Catalyst
Compassion is a skill you must actively cultivate.
Insight
Compassion is not an innate trait, it's something you develop through experience and effort. Just as you would practice a language or a craft, you must practice building compassion into your life. Listening without judgment, imagining another person's perspective, and showing patience even when it's hard all strengthen your ability to care authentically. Mistakes along the way, such as reacting with impatience or misunderstanding someone, are opportunities to recalibrate and grow.
With daily intention and effort, compassion becomes second nature, but like any skill, it requires diligence and practice.
Reflection
What's one way you can practice compassion today, either for someone else or for yourself?
